Monday brought more rain, though in lesser, lighter intensities than on Sunday. It lasted into the early evening, and totalled 0.98”. I now have had 4.90” for the month so far, which already puts me above normal for the total month. Year to date precip is now at 19.30”. Since the 9th I have set 3 daily precip records, including today.
Not that precip had a corner on new records established for today. High temp on Monday was a very cool 49.3, low 43.0, obs temp tonight of 47.3 with baro pressure rising at 29.95”. The high temp for the day not only set a daily record for low max temp, but actually was my first ever sub-50 low max for the entire month of May. My previous record of 50 had been reached 5 or 6 times in my past 30 years of records. My latest sub-50 spring min before was 48 on April 24, 1995.
The LOW pressure passed by us in the very early morning hours, and my lowest pressure for the day was reached around 3:30-4 AM at an estimated 29.35”.
Clouds persisted all day, though the evening was basically rain-free. There were some breaks appearing in the cloud deck at midnight obs. But still basically cloudy.
Flooding was quite widespread in our area, but I am well drained in my immediate area so I was safe from those perils.
We should dry out and warm up during the next few days before shower possibilities return on Thursday.
Currently at 1:20 AM the temp has slid off to
46.9 under cloudy skies and a pressure reading
of 29.96” (rising).

Hi, Weather friends.
My wife and I are finally snugged away in our San Jose Condo after unending unpacking. We love our new place here in our welcome-home city of San Jose...Welcome home cause I lived here 14 years ago.
Here’s your Weather briefing for May 9th. 10th. and the 11th. since we were ‘offline’ because of moving from Palo Alto to San Jose.
Very simply, it was ‘Mostly Sunny’ in San Jose and the valley, after the some moring Patchy Coastal Marine Stratus. We also had Hazy Skies all 3 days.
Winds were 10 to 20 mph.
Low was in the 40’s.
High was in the 70’s.
------------------------------------------
On to today’s Weather now.
It was another ‘Mostly Sunny’ day on this Monday the 12th. with scattered Cirrus Clouds at times.
(No Marine Stratus today.)
Winds were 5 to 15 mph.
San Jose’s morning Low was 46 degrees.
The High was 74 degrees.
I finally get my wish. Warm to HOT Weather for us this week ahead. Yippee!!
Now remember. Don’t look at the *Bay Temps* that are forecasted (below.) My new hometown of San Jose, Ca. is considered the *Inland* area.
And No. I don’t thing San Jose will get to 104 degrees like it reads (below.) Maybe 104 in Concord, Livermore or Brentwood, Ca. That’s east of Oakland.
I’d say more like maybe 100 or 101 degrees maxx for San Jose, I predict for those 2 days.

Previous front really had staying power with it as the temps have been extremely tolerable with little humidity.
However; it must come to end and the Gulf will open up. SPC is closely watching the area for severe storms Wed. - Fr. and throw on top of that a possibility of 3-5 inches of rain.
Max was 79
Low was 51 very chilly for time of year
Gust to 9 mph
No rain right now.

Rain most of last night and today contant drizzle, Collected .49 iches in pot, High winds most of day gusting to 35 and 40 mph from the East, Solid Overcast Thinds are calming down at this hour....One of those cold raw May days that hardly ever happen..We got off easily, Delaware and Maryland and south flooding all over the place… Tomorrow . Tuesday and Wdnesday will be warmer and the Sun will be seen again. Temps upping to the 60’s and 70’s… Looks lika a weather roller coaster… Rest of week we will slip back into the unsettled weather, but temps will be warmer...Just for kicks, this period will be until next Monday.....
This evening the temperature at 9:00pm is 52 degrs, Winds, 0 to 5 mph from the NE, Sky, High Overcast, Humidity 52%, BP 29.70 rising....
For the brightener this evening for the Ladies is this beautiful look at Orange Day Lily’s....
"Keep Smiling”...
